With every portrait session, we’ll want to consult with you to determine the best location for the shoot, what to wear, the best time of day to make it happen, and we’ll also talk about the final product and how you might like your portraits displayed. This is generally done face-to-face or over the phone.

The shoot will last about an hour (give or take… kids can be a wildcard and it may sometimes take a bit longer to get them warmed up!), and we always do our best to keep it fun and relaxed. Shooting a mixture of journalistic and more traditional portraits, the goal is to capture personalities and create images that you’ll be drawn back to again and again.

We’ll also schedule a private viewing session for you to see your images for the first time. This is usually done within a few weeks after the shoot, and is a great time for you and your kids or family to think through what images you would like for your home.
