Category Archives: Newborn So a few years ago I shot a great wedding for these two: It was truly an uber-fun day, and they were a fantastic couple to work with. Skip ahead to 2013, and this fantastic couple welcomed Adelyn (don’t you love that name?), a gorgeous, expressive little girl. I love working with the same families…  I’ve said it before, but I really love working with families more than once. Last year I photographed their oldest daughter, “A”, a number of times (like here at the Moravian Tile Works, and here) and we had great times coaxing smiles and laughs out of here. First, their engagement session in Philadelphia… followed by their wedding at Riverdale Manor in Lancaster… I was happy to find out that their family was growing and they recently welcomed their son Simon into the world! We spent…  I love photographing twins… these two were just wonderful. At just over 2 months old, they’re not really “newborns” anymore, but that’s okay. We shoot all over their beautiful home in Philadelphia, and got mom, dad, and even their grandparents in on the action. Many of my favorites from this shoot were the ones in…  I haven’t asked my fellow photographers what their thoughts are on this, but I can tell you that for me, shooting another photographer’s portraits can be intimidating. Rae Barnes is a talented portrait photographer in the area, so when she reached out about a portrait session with her family to celebrate the birth of their…  I can so clearly remember the first day we brought my oldest daughter home from the hospital. A bit terrified and not quite believing that the doctors and nurses would hand her to me, watch us put her in a carseat, and walk out the door (do I really know enough to be a parent?)….
