Category Archives: Kids Some of you are all about summertime, and you know what? That’s fine, no judgment here! But while you’re anticipating the scent of suntan lotion and BBQ lighter fluid, I’m reveling in spring. The mornings are cool, the trees are blossoming, and it’s just a great time to be out shooting. Whether it’s family pictures…  Although I live here, most of my work is done in the Philadelphia area so I don’t generally market myself as a Pottstown family photographer. But from time to time, I get the treat of working in my own backyard (sometimes literally, though this time it’s figurative). When Sarah contacted me about family portraits with…  I love this little girl’s eyes… she might look familiar, since I photographed her newborn session last September. Her parents want to remember everything about this stage in her life, and we were hoping that a mid-March portrait session might give us some warm weather and beautiful blooming trees outside. But it’s been a dismal spring…  Here was a bright, beautiful, colorful session last fall… I’ll let the pictures do the talking, other than to say that these two were adorable, energetic, and warmed right up to the camera. Also: lollipops can buy a lot of goodwill from kids. It was a beautiful winter day just after a snowfall. We started off inside but soon decided it would be worth heading into the great outdoors… By Ryan Estes  Valley Green. Morris Arboretum. Two beautiful locations in the Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia… we used them both for this autumn portrait session of the Schenker family. I loved seeing their son’s enthusiasm for life, ready to plunge headfirst into anything that came up. (Including, his parents assured me, the creek, if we weren’t careful…. |
