Category Archives: Families Although I live here, most of my work is done in the Philadelphia area so I don’t generally market myself as a Pottstown family photographer. But from time to time, I get the treat of working in my own backyard (sometimes literally, though this time it’s figurative). When Sarah contacted me about family portraits with…  I love this little girl’s eyes… she might look familiar, since I photographed her newborn session last September. Her parents want to remember everything about this stage in her life, and we were hoping that a mid-March portrait session might give us some warm weather and beautiful blooming trees outside. But it’s been a dismal spring…  Rubina & Garo may look familiar if you’ve been following this blog for a while… it’s been a few years, but they were married in Philly back in 2010 and I shot their gorgeous wedding at the Loews Hotel. Prior to that, I did their engagement session in NYC as well. Last fall I was…  About 4 years ago (6/7/08, to be exact) I shot Andrea & Ryan’s wedding on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year, if memory serves. It was a great day, though, and I really enjoyed working with them, so when they called me up this past autumn to schedule a family…  I haven’t asked my fellow photographers what their thoughts are on this, but I can tell you that for me, shooting another photographer’s portraits can be intimidating. Rae Barnes is a talented portrait photographer in the area, so when she reached out about a portrait session with her family to celebrate the birth of their…  Some of these fine people have appeared here before. Two of the women in the pictures below are my sisters. They married brothers (not their brothers… two other guys who happen to be brothers… anyway) and so when that side of their family wanted pictures together, I was glad when they called me. The result……  Valley Green. Morris Arboretum. Two beautiful locations in the Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia… we used them both for this autumn portrait session of the Schenker family. I loved seeing their son’s enthusiasm for life, ready to plunge headfirst into anything that came up. (Including, his parents assured me, the creek, if we weren’t careful…. |
