9.27.08 - Amber & Steve

Posted on October 29, 2008

Amber & Steve got tied the knot in New Hope at the end of September. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a while and was keeping a close eye on the weather. When the 15-day forecast called for rain on their wedding day I felt much better, because those things are never right that far out. But for the first time in the history of the world the weatherman was on target 2 weeks ahead of time.

No worries! We had a great time anyway, and Amber was a total rockstar bride. She and Steve chose to see each other before the ceremony in order to get their photos taken while we still had daylight… they braved the wind and rain and came away with some great images!

This first one of one of the junior bridesmaids drawing a picture at the hair salon isn’t strictly a wedding image but I love it anyway.

Radiant.

There are lots more from the rest of the day in the slideshow! I need to send a huge thank you to Neville Stringer who joined me for the day (and deserves the credit for some of the images in the show) as well!

9.20.08 - Carrie & Dana

Posted on October 14, 2008

Wow, am I really this behind on blogging? (Note: it’s considered bad form to acknowledge your own bad blogging habits… oh well.) Anyway… Carrie & Dana were married on September 20! *applause* They tied the knot at Bryn Athen Cathedral, and then partied till dawn 11pm at Cairnwood, always a good time!

They were so cool… here are some images from the day…

Carrie opening her gift from Dana…

It should be noted that Carrie is the official “Tough Bride of the Year.” She blew out her knee about 2 hrs before the ceremony… shook it off, had it wrapped up (after a call to the paramedics), walked up the aisle, said “I do,” and danced the night away!

Yes, this one was taken AFTER the knee incident… all smiles!

Despite the fact that we weren’t allowed to shoot from anywhere inside the church, we still got cool shots!

A few guests saw us taking pictures outside of Cairnwood.

Laughing during toasts…

Something about this picture drew me, but I’m not quite sure why. Just business as usual during the reception!

Mike Landis was my 2nd shooter for the day and grabbed this one and I just love it! Let’s hear it for cigars! Some of the shots in the slideshow are his as well.

9.19.08 - Amy & Jay

Posted on October 8, 2008

Amy & Jay’s wedding was one that I’ve been looking forward to ever since their engagement shoot this spring. That day we spent a few hours shooting and then hung out at a pub for a while, and any time I have that much fun with a couple, I know their wedding is going to be a good time.

They also hired Pete over at First Floor Films to do their video, and he’s kind of a ninja when it comes that stuff… it was cool to be working with a friend!

Lots of images in the slideshow below, but I’m just going to post a few that I like here:

This first one of Amy getting ready, I’m just loving how this whole shooting-a-bit-of-film-at-every-wedding thing is turning out.

On into center city for some fun…

And finally over to the Mansion on Main Street for the ceremony & reception.

The Sid Miller Dance Band kept the floor packed all night.

An emotional toast from Amy’s dad.

See?

Mother/son dance…

And one of the coolest things all night… Amy and her friends make hula hoops out of… well, tubing, I guess, or whatever they can get their hands on, and sell them out in San Francisco where they live. They had a few they’d made the week before, and were doing all sorts of crazy moves with them. Good times!

Thanks again, Amy & Jay… great being with you on your wedding day!
