Paying it forward
Posted on November 3, 2008
A few weeks ago I shot a portrait session for Sofia Negron, another Philadelphia photographer, and her daughter, for John Michael Cooper’s “Roadside Families” project. (Read all about it here: http://www.roadsidefamilies.com/) The idea is that photographers rarely have photos taken of their own families, so this is a pay-it-forward deal… a few weeks ago we had our photos taken by Neville & Lori Stringer, and in return I had to shoot another photographer’s family. Here are some images from that day…
Sofia’s daughter is a ballerina and busted out some crazy dance moves for the camera!
Sometimes it was tough to coax out a natural smile…
…so shooting when she wasn’t aware of it was best.
And afterwards they bought me lunch!
Can’t wait to see who you pay it forward to, Sofia!

Christie & Eric, hardcore Flyers fans
Posted on October 31, 2008
So Christie & Eric, who’s totally awesome wedding I’ll be shooting in December, are pretty into the Philadelphia Flyers. As in, Eric’s family has a brick with their name on it outside of the Wachovia Center… so we headed down there to shoot their engagement session a couple of weeks ago.
We started out doing some shots (no, not that kind) outside first.
See? Brick!

Thanks, Christie & Eric! See you in December!
New home (not for me)

Our friends Joy & Don recently got a new place (it’s totally sweet, you gotta check it out). Yesterday was their first day in the new house and I stopped by to take a few pictures. I haven’t gotten around to editing most of them yet but I promised Joy a few teasers…
Congratulations, J&D!
