Jason and Jeanene were so good to us when we shot their wedding in June. When I first asked Jeanene how she was feeling that afternoon and whether or not she was nervous at all, she said, “No… I know I’ve found the right person.” How cool is that? Her lack of stress wasn’t due to the programs being folded, the details taken care of, or the limo arriving on time (although all of those things were true) — it was because of who she was marrying.
Here are some photos I liked from the day. Congrats, Jason & Jeanene… all the best to you both in your life together!

I saw these 5 standing at the bar… it’s not the finest picture in the world, but the moment made me laugh.
I also owe big thanks to Bryce York who 2nd shot with me. He did a great job, and deserves the credit for a number of the images in the slideshow below.

Jen & Matt’s engagement session

Next April I’ll be shooting Jen & Matt’s wedding, but a couple of weeks ago I got together with them to shoot some engagement portraits. I was really glad they chose to have an engagement session - not only because doing so always helps me get to know couples a little better before their wedding, but also because Jen & Matt are such cool people and fun to hang out with. They are obviously crazy about each other and really got into it.
We spent some time walking around Philadelphia, just looking for fun places to shoot!
If you come by the blog with any frequency at all you’ve seen some of these places before… I just love this little alleyway. It gets great light, and I think the standpipe drain adds something to the photos.
When I showed them this shot on the back of the camera, Jen was like “Can that go on the blog?!”
