Amanda & Ben

I do love shooting engagement sessions… what could be better than meeting cool people and taking pictures at great (and unconventional) locations?
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot some portraits for Amanda & Ben. They’re getting married in Canada so sadly I won’t be shooting their wedding, but I’ll take what I can get! Because Ben had worked at HersheyPark for about 8 years, they decided that’s where they wanted their session to take place.
Making the best of some seriously hard light!
Yes, I really did take my cameras on the roller coaster! (It was a little one.)
Amanda gets totally robbed playing skee-ball.
I just love this last one… maybe not the sharpest picture I took all day, but it really sums up how I felt as a kid after a long day of fun at the amusement park.
Thanks, Amanda & Ben. Have a blast at your wedding!

Back to work
Posted on June 26, 2008
After far too few days in Sea Isle City, I’m back at work. The rest of my family is still at the shore sleeping in, getting sunburnt, sleeping some more, reading a lot, playing soccer on the beach, and washing sand out of hard-to-reach places… I came back early to shoot John & Kristen’s wedding on Friday, followed by Dawn & James’s wedding on Saturday, both of which I’m excited about!
For those of you who visit this blog in hopes of seeing some images (and that may well be all of you), I can’t imagine that you really care to see some vacation snapshots, but here they are anyway. Aren’t we all a good-lookin’ bunch?
[Note to all you photographers who are reading this… every image above was taken with my new 30/1.4 lens which, to be honest, I got for dirt cheap, and I think I’m in love…]

Away for a few days
Posted on June 22, 2008
I’m going to be out of the office this week. We’re going on a much-needed mini-vacation, taking Vienna on her first trip out-of-state to hang out with my family at Ye Olde Seashore. I will have limited access to email but I will try to check phone messages periodically. And yes, I will be back in time to shoot John & Kristen’s wedding on Friday, and Dawn & James’s wedding on Saturday!
One of the great things about family is that they always have your best interests at heart, and even those at the youngest ages are treated with respect and dignity…

(Thanks to Aunt Mindy for the rabbit ears…)
