5.10.08 - Kate & Doug
Posted on May 19, 2008
It’s not every day that I get to work in my own hometown, but for the second weekend in a row I had a wedding in Elverson, PA where I grew up… Kate and Doug were married in Kate’s own backyard, which makes for a really fun event to shoot. Another fun tidbit: although I didn’t know her at the time, Kate went to the same high school as I did, just one year behind me. I’m resisting the temptation to dig out an old yearbook photo to post here.
Okay okay, photos to follow:

Giving away the bride.

Stealing a quick moment right after the ceremony.

Kate gave Doug a necklace from Tiffany’s, which he was pretty excited about.

Amanda, another friend from high school, was in the wedding, too. She’s a faithful blog reader and was psyched that she was going to make it onto the blog! I thought this would be a good photo to post…

Doug dancing with his mom…

And toward the end of the day the sun came out and the light was amazing, so I grabbed Kate and Doug for some quick photos.

Ryan, that photo of your couple releasing the birds (doves?) is the BEST I have ever seen. You are pretty brave to be right in the line of fire! NICE!!! I can’t wait to show Ryan this shot. He will love it.
