2.16.08 - Rich & Yun-Jin
Posted on February 18, 2008
On Saturday I got to do something that I rarely have time to do: 2nd-shoot a wedding for a friend! When Joy Moody called and asked if I’d join her for a Philly wedding on Saturday, I jumped at the chance because 1) it’s so much fun to be the 2nd shooter, and 2) I usually have my own weddings on weekends so it’s kind of a rare opportunity.
Rich and Yun-Jin are exceptionally photogenic and were a pleasure to work with all day. Not only that, but they gave us FOUR HOURS (!!!) to ride around the city with them for photos. [Helpful tip: BRIDES - would you like to have photos like the ones below? You can’t get this kind of variety in 30 minutes… do yourself and your photographer a favor and make sure to budget enough time in your day to have some fun with photography. We don’t necessarily need 4 hours, but if you speak with your photographer before setting the itinerary in stone, you’ll be much more likely to come away with jaw-dropping shots!]
Anyway, like Joy, I had a difficult time narrowing down the photos… enjoy!
Down to Penn’s Landing for some shots with the Ben Franklin Bridge…
Back into Old City for some shots around Head House Square.
It was a cold day, so we stopped in at Cosi for some coffee.
Then on to FDR Park…
The ceremony was at August Moon in Norristown.
And after dinner, we headed upstairs for the Pae Baek ceremony.
Thanks again to Joy for inviting me along, and to Rich and Yun-Jin and their families for being so all-around awesome. Enjoy your time in Hong Kong!

So excited and happy you were able to come out on Saturday! LOVE all your shots. I can safely say we rocked this wedding!
Hope we can do it again soon.
Your photos are incredible! I can’t believe you guys had FOUR hours of shooting bliss!
WOW!!! Incredible Ryan! Some of the best photos from you I’ve seen. What light you guys had!! I’m gonna have to check out Joy’s shots now too.

You’re brilliant! And Rich and Yun-Jin are beautifully photogenic.
I love it!

4 hours?! Wow, you lucky ducks! The shots are fantastic, as always
Wow, you have such awesome shots. My youngest son and soon to be wife are getting married June this year. I also do photography and told her I had plenty of ideas beyond the traditional shots. She’s given me lots of “time to play”. After seeing what you’ve done if 4 hours, I know she won’t be disappointed if I can do my thing and make fun that day.
Very inspirational.
