Chrissy & Justin’s e-session
Posted on November 9, 2007
I just love it when a couple whose wedding I’m shooting opts to have their engagement portraits taken… it lets us get to know each other a bit more, helps them become more comfortable in front of the camera, and they come away with some killer pictures too! (Brides: If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to let me know!) We went to some of my favorite locations in Philadelphia… here are some favorites.

I was doing my best not to fall off the wall for this one.

10.21.07 - The Montgomery Family
Posted on November 7, 2007
It was a great weekend when I got together with the Montgomery family to shoot their portraits… the sun was out, it wasn’t too warm, and aside from the occasional cranky child everyone was in good spirits. I always enjoy shooting friends, and you may recognize some of the faces below from previous posts. Without further ado…
Ethan & Andrew keepin’ it real.
Sam is about as photogenic as they come.

This series makes me laugh!
Occasionally I could tear my camera away from the kids to grab some shots of the adults…
The whole crew.
Pictures of me

Most photographers will tell you they’re more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it… the same is true for me. (Okay, so I can ham it up but I’m not quite your Abercrombie model…)
Anyway, a few months ago I shot some portraits for a photographer friend of mine, Jenn Childress. Today I had lunch with Jenn as well as Pete Malone, and afterwards we grabbed a few cameras and headed to the park for some fun.
First, Jenn grabbed some shots of me… I like this first one.
And these are fun too…

Jenn and Pete now shoot weddings together sometimes… as you can see, they keep things quiet and subdued.

Anyone will tell you… if you’re lying on the ground to get a shot, it must be a great picture.

Last but not least, a shot with the good ol’ self-timer.
Jenn’s got some of these same shots and lots more embarrassing ones on her blog, too.
