11.2.07 - Samantha & Olivier

Posted on November 26, 2007

Wow, lately I’ve been blogging like crazy hardly at all! I’m going to try to catch up a bit this week in between editing weddings and portrait sessions, designing albums, and drinking lots and lots of spiked holiday wassail!

Anyway, on to the pictures. Sam & Olivier were married at the chapel at the Church Farm School, which was beautiful if just a tad dark. Thankfully they had decent lighting inside. We then trucked over to the Hartefeld National Golf Course with a quick stop at Immaculata University for some shots first.

Here’s Sam finishing up a note to Olivier.

Inside the church…

Olivier was tearing up a bit… I love it because that always makes for good pictures.

Some more tears…

Check out this bouquet! (Props to Elegant Stems for their amazing work.)

At Immaculata… the floor lit up, which in my opinion probably justifies the entire cost of tuition.

The toast…

And dances…

Sam’s dad doing a little hobnobbing.

And, of course, the cake, which was cut with Sam’s dad’s Navy saber — difficult to use for finesse work, but they managed with great aplomb. :)

Today is a red-letter day!

Posted on November 14, 2007

Join me in a chorus of “Happy Birthday” to my wife, Kelly. Today she turns… a year older, another year of her life I’m so incredibly grateful for.

As I looked through my archives for a picture or two of her to post here, these two in particular stuck out to me… she may not be thrilled I chose to post this first one, but I love it every time I see it.

This was taken a couple years ago in Istanbul… we were walking around these crazy old streets in the rain. Shot on (gasp!) film, it very well may be my favorite photograph I’ve ever taken.

Happy birthday, babe. I love you.

10.27.07 - Marissa & Dan

Posted on November 9, 2007

If you’ve been stalking this blog for a while, you may remember Marissa & Dan from their engagement session in May. They were married in Hershey, PA (which, sadly, did not smell of chocolate like it does in my childhood memories)… they and their families were a lot of fun to be around. Time prevents me from posting a ton of images right now, but here are a few that caught my eye.

I really like this one and I can’t say exactly why… Marissa was getting lots of car honks and congrats from people who saw her in her dress.
