This shot will be a fine way to end Jaime & Andy’s wedding album. It was actually a great way to end 2012′s wedding season, as well.
That’s right. 2012 wedding season, wrapped up. In July.
Many of you already know that over the past two years I’ve been focusing on growing my portrait photography business while phasing out the weddings side of things, and it has kept me busy. Letting weddings go has freed me up considerably to pursue portraits, and I’ve been able to spend most of my time with kids, families, and seniors. I’m loving this new phase of my career, and am moving full speed ahead with portraits.
But in 2011 and 2012, I had quite a few weddings still on the books. Fantastic brides and grooms, beautiful stories and stunning moments. Jaime & Andy tied the knot this past weekend in Cape May, and it was a beautiful day to end the wedding year with. Here’s the last shot of the night… incidentally, I was sort of stupid about the way I went about getting it, and wasn’t counting on the wave that soaked me (and my camera) from the waist down. The gear is fine (thanks, Nikon, for building cameras that can take a beating) and aside from a soggy ride home, no harm done. I think it was worth it.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I’d be glad to give you the names of some colleagues of mine who do stellar work. But if you’re seeking someone to create beautiful images of you and your family, I do hope you’ll give me a call.

Dang. That’s seriously nice Ryan.
this picture gave me goosebumps…it’s absolutely beautiful.
Thanks Heidi. :)
definitely worth getting a soaking, it came out great!
Thanks for all your help that day Steve — couldn’t have made it through the day without you!
