Have I mentioned that I really love shooting engagement sessions? It’s true… they give me a chance to hang out with my clients and take pictures in low-stress, high-creativity situations, and they let brides & grooms get comfortable in front of the camera before their wedding day.
Rubina & Garo will be married at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia on January 2… but since Garo lives in NYC, they asked if I’d be willing to come up there to shoot their engagement photos. Absolutely! Since Rubina & Garo hired Pete Malone from First Floor Films to shoot their video, I asked if he wanted to come along to hang out for the day as well.
Pete took a few “behind-the-scenes” shots as well…
Since we were walking around the city with cameras, of course we had to play the part of tourists for a few shots. Here’s an intentionally bad photo of Pete pointing at a tall building…
And another one of Pete, using his Metro Card…
Rubina & Garo, we’re really looking forward to your wedding in a few months!
Hey Ryan, I see the D700 strap. I’m assuming that there’s an actual D700 attached to it. Isn’t it AWESOME!! The portraits look great. Still hope to get to Philly at some point and shoot with you.
Hey Kim – yup, I generally shoot with a pair of D700′s, along with a D90 backup and an F100 just for fun sometimes. Gotta love this job that lets me buy the gear I want. :)
Ryan, we LOVE the pics!! Thanks so much to you and Pete for coming up to NYC. We can’t wait for the wedding!!!!
